Dr. Zaius, Dr. Zaius, oh-oh Dr. Zaius

Today I tried an experiment with etching leather on the laser cutter -- making a Mego Dr. Zaius hieroglyph jacket.

This is just a work in progress as I haven't sewed the jacket yet.  However, the hieroglyphs on the leather insert turned out very nice.  I'll have to learn more about leather working to see how to finish this off, but it seems to be a good start.  It really need to be a more orange color.

One problem with etching leather is that is smells rather pungent.
